Welcome to St Vincent de Paul!

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a Catholic lay organization dedicated to works of charity for the poor and needy. SVdP is an international organization; our Resurrection Conference has been in operation since 1995. Members of SVdP are men and women who strive to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to individuals in need. We serve the poor and needy in the Sunnyvale, California area.

“Yours must be a work of love, of kindness, you must give your time, your talents, yourselves.”

- Blessed Frederic Ozanam, Founder of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul

St Vincent de Paul Corner - Week of Sept 6

Our Founder, Blessed Frederic Ozanam (1813-1853):
At just twenty years old, Frédéric and his companions resolved
to put their faith into action by visiting the poor in their homes
and offering what help they could. In these encounters, Frédéric
discovered something profound: that in serving the poor, we not
only give—we also receive. He reminded us that Christ is present
in the poor, and that when we draw close to them as our
brothers and sisters, we draw closer to God.
Frederic’s feast day is September 9.
